Have You Smelled Sex in the City? Get a Whiff of SJP NYC!

By TheGlamtastic · June 3, 2010 · 0 Comments ·

I've always been a fan of Sex and the City - the never-ending girl talk, the over-the-top designer dreamwear and the glam, glam, glam! So, when the show left the airwaves, I was stuck with nothing but re-runs. Then there was Sex and the City the movie. Would you get back with Mr. Big if he left you at the alter? Discuss amoungst yourselves...

Now, Sarah Jessica Parker brings fragrance and fashion together with a tribute to the Manhattan girl next door who you can't help loving, Ms. Carrie Bradshaw.

This deliciously fruity floral scent opens with Italian Mandarin, Wild Red Strawberry and White Osmanthus. The heart of the fragrance merges Gardenia, Honeysuckle, Mimosa and Red Rose Damascenia, and closes with Sabdalwood, Vanilla Absolut, Rum Flavor and Creamy Musks. WOW!

"I wanted to create a fragrance with a great sense of fun and whimsy," says SJP.

The packaging is just as playful as the fragrance itself. It gives you a glimpse into Carrie's closet, bursting with vibrant colors and patterns. The marriage of the fragrance and packaging gives the public the essence of Carrie - the outrageous, fun-loving girl friend we all aspire to be.

Is spring in the air yet? It sure smells like it!

Marc Jacobs is letting us experience spring a bit early with the launch of Marc Jacobs Daisy in the Air! This super fresh floral and feminine scent is an edgy violet fragrance. Even though the temperature has only hit 55 degrees in Manhattan, I am eating up every minute!

This oh-so-lovely and light spring fragrance is composed of strawberry, violet leaves, ruby red grapefruit, gardenia, violet petals, jasmine petals, musk, vanilla and white woods.

This floral scent stems from the original Daisy fragrance. It comes in a fresh bottle adorned with light blue and gold daisies, and comes with a scented daisy chain.

What is your favorite new spring scent? Tell us about it!!!

Scent-a-mental with Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy, Love Etc. and Vera Wang Princess

I was fighting my way towards Saks this weekend, down a totally overcrowded 5th Avenue, hunting for a gift for my oh-so-fabulous 16 year old sister. What do 16 year old girls like, you ask? Well, let me tell you...makeup, boys, Facebook and texting.

Since my little sis has everything under the sun, I thought I'd get her the gift that no woman "needs", but every woman wants! Perfume of course!

Despite the recession, when it comes to gifts for a sibling, especially my oh-too-cool sister, I can't spoil her enough, so I ended up treating her to a few fabulous fragrances.

Viva La Juicy
Who doesn't love Juicy? My sister lives in the velour sweatsuits, the super cute shorts and tight tees...the list goes on. Now, I've introduced her to the latest Juicy must-have - Viva La Juicy. It's an exciting and enticing scent of fresh berries. mandarins, honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine. It finishes with touches of caramel, amber, vanilla and sandalwood. This fragrance is sweet and addictive. She LOVES it!

Love Etc. by The Body Shop
This light and lovely fragrance is composed of Jasmine, Vanilla and Sandalwood. It's sweet enough to capture that first kiss, and light enough to be worn everyday. Apply a spritz for a light hint of scent or a few for a more intense fragrance. LOVE that!

Vera Wang Princess
This holiday season, what girl doesn't want to feel like a princess? Vera Wang Princess is a playful fragrance made up of a flirty blend of water lily, lady apple, Mandarin meringue, pink guava and apricot skin mixed with floral notes. It's delicious and delightful, what girl wouldn't love it! I wish she would give this one back to me!

What gift are you wishing for this holiday season?
