Slather, Lather, Love

By TheGlamtastic · September 21, 2009 · 1 Comment ·
Fall is in full swing and while your skin has to adjust to the cool air, so does your hair. Give your locks a little slather, lather and love with these must-try hair tamers.

Slather
I decided it was time to clean out my closet, my linen closet that is...It was time to trash some of the old products I had been holding onto and refresh my beauty stash.

My latest hair find - Korres Shea Butter and Vitamins Nourishing Hair Mask. Korres rich hair mask nourishes and protects from the roots to the scalp. This all natural hair mask helps bring dry, damaged hair back to life, whether it's been beaten down from over-styling or hair dye damage. While this luxuriously light mask helps heal hair, it does so without parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes and petro chemicals. Love that!

Lather
Lather can make your shower experience just a little bit more luxurious! Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo uses olive oil extract to help bring dull, dry hair back to life and add gloss and shine. This lightweight, fresh shampoo has a lovely lather that cleanses and hydrates dry strands.
Hello healthy hair!

Love
I don't know about you, but my hair has a mind of it's own! No matter the weather or the blow drier, frizz (frizzles are my grandma calls them) can sneak up at anytime! But recently, I discovered a cure for my hair woes. Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream (yes, that's a total mouthful) is a lightweight cream that helps to straighten and tame medium to thick hair. This no-frizz treatment helps to fight back against the two main causes of frizz; humidity and friction. This super smooth, non-sticky cream uses PolyfluoroEster that provides a thin barrier on the hair to act as a protective shield. Pretty amazing!

Must-Try:
New York City gals love to live life on the wild side, but that doesn't mean your hair has to! Now, there is a straightening iron that smoothes unruly hairs, tames curls, frizz and kinks with just one pass. Too good to be true? No way!  Bio Ionic OnePass Iron lets you straighten hair in half the time. Run the iron over dry hair slowly, letting the iron do all of the work. Silicone Speed Strips heat up to 400 degrees, get hot faster and stay that way, letting you create a flawless straight 'do with no damage to your strands.

Beauty Buy:
You can stock your tiny Manhattan bathroom with the best straightening and curling irons, creams and serums, but don't underestimate the power of the right brush. Philip Kingsley Grooming Brush is an anti-static brush with super soft cushioning. It has rounded pins, so that it doesn't scrape or harm your scalp. This super soft brush is also vented, to avoid overheating and damage, while blowdrying or ironing your lovely locks. Love that!

You Decide:

How does water impact your hair? Some say NYC tap water is what gives their hair its sexy shine, while others claim it's ruining their  'do. Some celebrity stylists even recommend clients wash their hair with bottled water to avoid contact with tap water impurities. Not exactly eco-friendly. Now, filter out impurities that may be harmful to your hair with Jonathan Beauty Water Shower Purification System.

This shower head attachment works to make water pH balanced, free of chlorine, heavy metals and harmful VOCs. This water purification system claims to enhance shine, softenss and overall hair health, while helping to keep hair color radiant. Lasting for about for 3-6 months, this shower accessory says it can help take your hair to the next level of sleek and soft.

Is this a shower must buy or a product you'd pass by?
