You've probably heard me say this 100 times, but "we're on a budget." My studly husband is back at Columbia Business School for his second and final year. I am back to being the bread winner.

While he's in school, I've promised to limit my spending to one splurge per month, which is VERY difficult to do! It requires a lot of self-restraint, and I've found that it's best to leave all credit cards at home to avoid temptation. I am horrible at dieting, whether it involves giving up chocolate cake or limiting spending, but I am giving it my all.

However, I can of course "splurge" once in a while and still hunt for those beauty and fashion "steals" that rarely come around. After a rough day, I love to spoil myself with the little things, like a lip color here, a nail polish there.

I've just discovered my new September splurge! Okay, perhaps there is more than one...
