Are Gorilla's Sexy? GORILLA Warfare™ Hair Minimizing Antiperspirant Deodorant

By TheGlamtastic · June 18, 2010 · 0 Comments ·

I'll admit it. Perhaps I'm a tad jaded. After working in the beauty biz, it's hard to impress me with a totally unique product; something really innovative, something I have never seen before. Whether my jaw drops in awe or in disgust, it doesn't matter. If a product can get a rise out of me, it's worth further investigation. Scrolling the pages of Sephora, com for my online lotions and potions fix, I spotted it - Gorilla Warfare Hair Minimizing Antiperspirant.

Maybe it's the name that threw me off or the image of the cartoon purple gorilla. Not exactly the sexy, chic or sleek marketing that gets me hot and bothered.

Who likes shaving? Silence. Who likes sweatiy, smelly armpits, B.O.-cursed dresses and funky smelling tank tops? Nobody outside of the zoo! However, as beauty has become more and more aspirational throughout the past few years, promising the consumer a moment in time or a forbidden kiss, seeing this made me think of a smooch from a big, fury friend.

It's created WITHOUT synthetic dyes or fragrances.

Defense Against Nasty Scents

Ban Clinical Defense Antiperspirant Deodorant $6.99 - http://www.drugstore.com/
Goodbye B.O. with Ban Clinical Defense Antiperspirant Deodorant
After a heart-pounding Spinning class I can usually smell the people around me. It's the scents of flowery AP-DO or musk, combined with the overwhelming aroma of B.O. To be honest, it's a pretty gross, especially since this scent combination invades my nostrils before 8:00 a.m.

Now, there's a solution that helps prevent the nasty gym-sock smell and wetness that follows a serious workout. Ban Clinical Defense Antiperspirant Deodorant provides prescription-strength protection from odor and wetness and uses the highest level of Aluminum Chlorohydrate antiperspirant (25%) to get the job done.

The formula rolls on smooth and clear, leaving no white residue on my eggplant Theory dress. It's not chalky or runny like some roll-on antiperspirants, and leaves the area feeling super soft.
The scent, Shower Fusion, was light floral with a hint of citrus.

The ultimate test: I applied Ban Clinical Defense at 5:30 a.m. before hitting the gym and again at 8:00 a.m. after a quickie shower. At 6:30 p.m. I was still sweat and B.O. free!

For an all natural approach to fighting sweat and odor, try Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant. This clinical strength deodorant uses beta-glucan technology, goji berry, Japanese honeysuckle, lichen, lemon and tee tree oils to block odors, nourish, soothe and condition skin.

You Decide:

Anyone with severe sweating knows how horribly embarrassing it can be! Sweating can ruin a hot date, a business meeting or even a typical day at the work. Who wants to sit in a soaking wet top and type the day away?

A serious solution recommended for those with intense sweating is Botox. FDA-approved for underarm usage, this toxin relaxes the muscle that pushes sweat out of the gland. Botox to treat underarm sweating can be effective for anywhere from 4-9 months and many insurance companies cover the treatment. Prices vary depending on how large the area is and how often the injections are needed.

Have you tried Botox to treat sweating? Love it? Hate it? Tell us what you think!
